Happy New Queer Leuven

Antwerp Queer Arts Festival, Queer Leuven and 30CC are joining forces once again for a sparkling new edition of Happy New Queer! Our host Georgy Gorgeous guides you through a dazzling live show where performance blends into queer New Year’s letters and a lipsync follows stand-up. Before and after the show, the party continues with an extensive side programme in the foyer.

The line-up:

Fleur Pierets is writing a New Year’s letter especially for us.

New talent presents what they created during our summer residency: Nata Mandaria brings a performance inspired by the women in her family — small, fierce, broad-shouldered, and wearing just a bit too much blush. Expect high energy, intriguing texts and inviting interaction!

Ju.j.u, aka Julian Gypens, bares it all. As both a dancer and stand-up comedian, they effortlessly merge art forms that don’t seem to belong together at first glance.

BEYONDSIEN treats us to clownesque fever-dance, and PUSS ACADEMY teaches you everything about vogue.

And because it was such a hit: after the show you can once again dance in the foyer with DJ Filip.

There is celebration, there is chaos, there is comfort. There are gifts, there is cava, and there is always someone ready to pull you onto the dance floor. Bring your chosen family and friends and celebrate with us!

Antwerp Queer Arts Festival, Queer Leuven en 30CC slaan opnieuw de handen ineen voor een fonkelnieuwe editie van Happy New Queer! Onze host Georgy Gorgeous gidst je door een wervelende liveshow waar performance aansluit op queer nieuwjaarsbrieven en een lipsync volgt op stand-up. Voor en na de show gaat het feest door met een uitgebreid randprogramma in de foyer.

Nieuw talent toont wat ze afgelopen zomer in ons residentietraject creëerden: Nata Mandaria maakte een performance geïnspireerd door de vrouwen in haar familie - klein, fel, breedgeschouderd en met net iets te veel blush. Verwacht hoge energie, intrigerende teksten en uitnodigende interactie!

Ju.j.u, aka Julian Gypens, gaat met de billen bloot. Als danser én stand-upcomedian vermengt hen moeiteloos kunstvormen die op het eerste gezicht niet samen lijken te gaan.

BEYONDSIEN trakteert ons op clownesque koortdans, PUSS ACADEMY leert je alles over vogue.

En omdat het zo goed bevallen is: na de show kun je opnieuw dansen in de foyer met DJ Filip.
