Dawn Lundy Martin is an American poet, essayist and writer. Her work moves between poetry, essay, activism and visual art, exploring how gender, race, desire and power shape everyday life. She is a co-founder of the Third Wave Foundation, an organisation supporting social justice activism, and a member of the Black Took Collective, a collective of Black experimental poets. Her most recent poetry collection is Instructions for the Lovers (2024).
