During this creative session at BRUSK, you will contribute to a collective textile artwork featuring wild plants as a recurring motif. Together, we will craft a quilt that weaves together stories, memories, and a sense of connection into a single, living piece of art. Everyone is welcome, and we especially invite trans and gender-diverse individuals to participate.
The session will be facilitated by Nixie Van Laere (she/her), a Belgian multimedia artist, writer, and parent. In her practice—which encompasses textiles, video, performance, and text—Nixie explores themes such as kinship, family, HIV, non-linear histories, and the body as a vessel for memories.

Tijdens deze maaksessie in BRUSK werk je mee aan een collectief textielkunstwerk waar wilde planten het motief vormen. Samen creëren we een quilt die verhalen, herinneringen en verbondenheid combineren in één levend kunstwerk. Iedereen is welkom en we nodigen in het bijzonder trans- en genderdiverse personen uit om deel te nemen.
