Artists Against Stigma - Film program

In samenwerking met Visual Aids vertoont De Cinema het filmprogramma Meet Us Where We’re At, met zes korte films over druggebruik, harm reduction en hiv, gemaakt door kunstenaars uit o.a. Puerto Rico, Nigeria en Duitsland.

• Voices of Resilience (Nigeria) – Queer personen en druggebruikers zoeken ondergrondse hulpverlening.

• The Sister’s Journey (Vietnam) – Dagelijks leven van een transgender vrouw die drugs gebruikt.

• The Passion According to G.H.B. (Brazilië) – Magisch-realistische reflectie op seks, drugs en identiteit.

• Realce (Brazilië) – Twee hiv-positieve artiesten tijdens carnaval in Rio.

• Ghost in the Park (Duitsland) – Leven rond Görlitzer Park en mobiele drughulpverlening.

• ¿Por qué tanto dolor? (Mexico) – Een experimentele film over pijn, verslaving en stigma.

In collaboration with Visual AIDS, De Cinema presents Meet Us Where We’re At, a film program featuring six short films about drug use, harm reduction, and HIV, created by artists from places including Puerto Rico, Nigeria, and Germany.

• Voices of Resilience (Nigeria) – Queer people and drug users seek underground networks of care.

• The Sister’s Journey (Vietnam) – The daily life of a transgender woman who uses drugs.

• The Passion According to G.H.B. (Brazil) – A magical-realist reflection on sex, drugs, and identity.

• Realce (Brazil) – Two HIV-positive artists during Rio’s Carnival.

• Ghost in the Park (Germany) – Life around Görlitzer Park and mobile drug support services.

• ¿Por qué tanto dolor? (Mexico) – An experimental film about pain, addiction, and stigma.
